CHICAGO (AP) — The offices of the Illinois Department of Employment Security will be closed on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Offices will re-open on Tuesday. People will still be able to file for unemployment benefits on Monday on the agency’s Web site. But the agency warns that some benefit payments could be delayed because Monday is a bank holiday.
