Time to vote again in Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) — It’s time to vote again in Chicago. Early voting at 17 sites in the city starts Monday to decide run-off races for aldermen in 14 city wards. The April 5 run-offs are happening because some aldermanic candidates didn’t get more than 50 percent of the vote in last month’s election. The top two vote-getters advanced to the run-off. While the Feb. 22 election left some aldermanic races undecided, former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel scored a decisive victory in the mayor’s race. Emanuel beat out five opponents to replace retiring Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, who didn’t seek a seventh term. Emanuel and the 50-member City Council will be sworn into office in May.
