CHICAGO (AP) — Cook County prosecutors say a Chicago teenager has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of off-duty Chicago Police Officer David Blake. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office says the murder charge was approved Wednesday night against 18-year-old Bernard Williams. The office did not say whether Williams has an attorney. Blake, who was a SWAT team officer, was off-duty when he was found dead inside his parked SUV on the evening of Nov. 22. Copyright 2010 The Associated Press.
