U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is expected to endorse Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn for the Feb. 2 primary election. The two Chicago Democrats have planned a Friday afternoon news conference in the south Chicago suburb of Matteson (MAT’-uh-sun) to give more details. Quinn and Illinois Comptroller Dan Hynes are vying for their party’s nomination. Seven Republicans are seeking the GOP nomination. Jackson, a seven-term Congressman, is seeking re-election.
