ARLINGTON, Va. — The power is out at Reagan National Airport outside Washington, D.C., bringing flights and security screening to a standstill. Courtney Mickalonis, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, says the power went out about 12:30 p.m. She says the problem is believed to be outside the airport but hasn’t been identified. Mickalonis says the Federal Aviation Administration has issued a ground hold and the Transportation Security Administration has halted screening. Copyright 2010 The Associated Press.
