PEORIA, Ill. — A new Illinois law is meant to lead to more construction of energy-efficiency projects in Illinois. The measure lets the Illinois Finance Authority provide financial backing for projects that reduce energy use. The Finance Authority can provide up to $3 billion in support for energy-related projects. Gov. Pat Quinn signed the bill Thursday. He says it will both reduce pollution and create jobs.
