Chicago police are investigating the death of a 24-year-old who was stabbed and shot down the street from his home.
Chicago police are investigating the death of a 24-year-old who was stabbed and shot down the street from his home. The Cook County medical examiner says Deshawn Patton died from multiple gun shot and stab wounds. His death has been classified as a homicide. Chicago police spokeswoman Laura Kubiak says Patton’s body was found Sunday in an alley on the city’s South Side. Kubiak says police were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. Police say Patton had been involved in a fight and the suspect had fled the scene. Patton was pronounced dead around 2:30 a.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Copyright 2009 The Associated Press.
