Local Business, Roq-Innovation to be Featured on “The View”.

In 2014, Racquel Graham started her own business, ROQ Innovation, a product innovation company that develops problems-solving solutions that aim to make life a little easier. “We develop, solve, and invent solutions daily to meet the needs of our families. I enjoy providing solutions to making anyone’s life a bit easier. We all need that.” It all started when the Polar Vortex struck in the Midwest a few years ago! Raquel Graham’s son and daughter were over wearing scarves and refused to keep them on. Enter a little Mother’s Wit! “I was no inventor but grabbed some material, scissors, glue, and a few other supplies and went to work,” said Graham. Little did Graham know that what started as a DIY home project would turn into a NEKS, a scarf alternative. After expanding her line to include men and women, she launched her product line on the Home Shopping network. In her debut, her products sold out in an hour. Graham is one of few Black women to have a recurring appearance on the Home Shopping Network.

She continued innovating new products with Headlightz; a rechargeable LED winter beanie, perfect for outdoor running, walking the dog, and many practical and safe uses for hands-free lighting. In 2019, Headlightz was named to Oprah Winfrey’s “O” list as a must-have item for 2019. Racquel Graham’s products have been featured in Forbes, Good Morning America, the Home Shopping Network.

Based in Chicago, Graham’s company Roq-Innovation is based in Chicago and has expanded to offer a lineup of creative protective wear, including Headlightz Headband, HeadLightz beanies, Handlightz, and Face Maskz. All of her products are high quality, fashionable, and functional. “With the rapid spread pandemic, I had to make some adjustments and my product offerings, and this has proven to be a great decision,” said Graham. “My products are custom-made, offer great protection from the elements, and they’re trendy.” Racquel Graham and her products make their debut on the View this Wednesday, October 8, 2020.
