There’s an effort under way to get Illinois children to turn off the television and start exploring the outdoors. Gov. Pat Quinn has proclaimed this "Leave No Child Inside Month." The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is teaming up with other groups to host free family events throughout the state. Activities include fishing clinics, bird-watching hikes and introductions to camping. Illinois Free Fishing Days will be held statewide June 11 through 14.
