Ill. community reports $10M in tornado damage

WILLIAMSVILLE, Ill. — Officials in the central Illinois community of Williamsville estimate about $10 million of damage after a tornado hit last week.

WILLIAMSVILLE, Ill. — Officials in the central Illinois community of Williamsville estimate about $10 million of damage after a tornado hit last week. Williamsville Village President Thomas Yokley says the community is in better shape after a clean-up program and another could be scheduled in the coming days. At least two tornados struck central Illinois last week. Williamsville was hit the hardest. Authorities say dozens of village buildings were damaged and there were about a dozen injuries, although none were life-threatening.
