CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel continues to put together his administration, putting his latest appointment in charge of hiring.
Emanuel has already named a number of members of his administration, including a new head of the city’s public school system and a new head of the transit authority. And now he has named Soo Choi as the city’s next human resources commissioner.
Choi is now the deputy inspector general in charge of hiring oversight in the city’s Inspector General’s office.
In a statement, Emanuel says that he’d promised in the campaign the city’s hiring processes and he sees Choi someone who can implement those changes.
