CHICAGO (AP) — Cook County election officials say Monday is the start of early voting in the county’s suburbs for the April 5 local elections. More than 2,100 candidates are on the ballot for offices including mayor, alderman, school board member and park commissioner. Early voting is available at 43 suburban sites through March 31. Early voting sites are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays. Some locations are open Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To find an early voting site, visit cookcountyclerk.com. Cook County Clerk David Orr says voters don’t need an excuse to vote early. They do need to bring a current driver’s license or other form of government-issued photo ID.
