CHICAGO (AP) — Early voting is about to end in the Chicago area.
Voters can cast early ballots through Thursday for several of the run-off races in the April 5 election. Officials with the Cook County Board of Elections say Monday was the busiest early voting day so far with 1,970 ballots cast that day. The board covers all suburban Chicago areas. In Chicago, there are 14 aldermanic run-off elections. It’s a landmark year for turnover on the City Council. The city’s board of election commissioners says early voting will be available at 17 Chicago sites through Thursday.
