CHICAGO (AP) — Mayor Richard Daley has chosen an investment firm executive to the Chicago Housing Authority board.
Daley appointed on Friday co-founder of global investment firm Loop Capital Markets James Reynolds, Jr. to the board.
Daley says he will make Reynolds chairman of the board if City Council approves the appointment.
Reynolds is already a board member for several other organizations, including the Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness and Chicago United. He is currently chairman of the Chicago Urban League.
Reynolds is from a neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.
