OAK PARK, Ill. (AP) — Cook County’s top prosecutor plans to open a third office in a western suburb of Chicago. Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez says the goal is to bring officials from her office closer to the people being served. The Community Justice Center was scheduled to open this week in Oak Park. The center in will serve other western suburbs and Chicago’s West Side. Alvarez has opened two other similar centers since she took office in 2008. They’re both in Chicago. Copyright 2010 The Associated Press.
