HAMMOND, Ind. — Funeral services were held Monday for an Indiana couple who were shot to death before their bodies were dumped in an Illinois forest preserve. Seventy-six-year-old Ruby McClendon and 78-year-old Milton McClendon were the parents of CLTV host Garrard McClendon. Services were held at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Munster, Ind. A few hours after the morning services, police officials in Hammond, Ind., held a press conference to discuss the criminal charges filed against two teens in connection with the McClendons’ deaths.
